Frequently Asked Questions

What is Personal Colour Analysis?

Personal colour analysis is a tool that reveals the colours that naturally harmonize and complement an individual’s unique features—such as undertone, eye colour, and hair. By determining undertone, season, flow, and dimensions, this process helps clients appear healthier and more vibrant.

The insights gained can guide their choices in clothing, makeup, and hair colour, ultimately making it easier to shop efficiently, avoid costly mistakes, and consistently present their most radiant self whether at work or in social settings.

Which system of Colour Analysis do you use?

I use the 23-palette colour analysis system, an advanced approach that builds on the traditional seasonal method. This expanded system recognizes the subtle variations in undertone, depth, and intensity that make each of us unique.

Your session is guided by my mastery training with the International Image Institute, where I learned the art and science of colour theory and its real-life application. The result is a beautifully customized palette designed just for you.

How can I prepare for a personal colour analysis consultation?

For the best and most accurate results, please come without makeup, earrings, or self-tanner. Clear contact lenses are ideal, but if you wear glasses, we’ll begin without them.

If your hair is coloured, it will be covered during your session so we can focus on your natural skin tone. You’ll also wear a white cape over your shoulders to keep the attention on your natural colouring.

What should I expect during a colour analysis session?

A colour analysis session involves in-person draping to see how various colours affect your complexion. The process helps determine your undertone (warm, cool, or neutral), colour intensity (bright or muted), and value (light or deep), resulting in one of the 23 palette profiles.

Using a scientific method, we’ll test your undertone first, then assign your home season, and finally refine your colour profile with flow seasons to create your custom palette.

If my skin tone has changed due to tanning or a medical condition, how does that affect my colour analysis?

While your skin’s overtone may shift due to things like tanning, medication, diet, pregnancy, smoking, or illness, your undertone (cool – blue based, warm – yellow based, neutral – equal) stays the same—and that’s what gets evaluated.

The overtone is simply what appears on your skin’s surface. Remember, your results from the 23-palette colour analysis system are lifelong.

Where does the personal colour analysis service take place?

My Studio is located in Midhurst, Ontario, Canada, 5 minutes outside of Barrie. It is in a private residence where two dogs live, but you can be sure that the pets will be kept away during your appointment.

The Studio is neutralised in white and is equipped with full spectrum lighting and outdoor lighting for accurate analysis results.

Do you offer Personal Colour Analysis to men?

Yes, I’ll tailor the process to include considerations like suiting, ties, and other menswear accessories. Men can benefit from colour analysis to enhance their style, build a more cohesive wardrobe, and project confidence.

What is the booking and payment process?

To reserve your session, full payment is required upon booking by e-transfer. Once your spot is confirmed, you’ll receive a welcome email with everything you need to know.

My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable and confident every step of the way, and I’m always happy to answer any questions before we meet.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule, so we can accommodate other clients. Cancellations will result in a non-refundable deposit of $50 to $100 (based on service and payment method), with the remaining amount refunded.

Each consultation requires planning, and once a colour analysis session is completed, it is final and non-refundable.
